Zara
Website Redesign
2024 • UX/UI • Figma
Zara's e-commerce site is infamous for being a particularly difficult website to navigate and purchase items from. For my UX/UI design course, I decided to do a complete redesign of the original website by changing the layout, header design, and clothing categories. I also designed the website to have a clearer image shopping grid with product titles, product price, and available sizes. I improved the shopping experience by including a clickable slideshow format for the multiple images of each product, and with buttons that are more legible than that of the original version.
For this redesign I made sure to keep as much as the original Zara branding as possible. I retained the famous logo, black and white color palette, with the exception of updating the body and header text to a more legible sans-serif font. The site also incorporates minimal icons to improve user experience, while ensuring the website follows some traditional web elements to maintain ease of use. The auto image slideshow at the hero section of the homepage features the latest Zara collections, and highlights some of their seasonal fashion collections.
