Black by Design Symposium
2024 • Poster • Adobe Photoshop
Black by Design Symposium was a one-day event held in 2024 that explored the intersection of African American heritage, creativity, and design. Organized by San Diego State University's School of Art and Design, the symposium aimed to highlight the significant contributions of Black designers throughout history while addressing sociopolitical and cultural issues in design practices.
My poster, "Life is Collaboration," was inspired by Virgil Abloh, a trailblazer and icon for his enduring impact on international fashion design. This piece was featured in the "Representation and Empowerment" category of the virtual exhibition gallery.
